The Girl behind the Camera
Hey y'all, I'm Grace Harrell.
I'm a twenty one year old Sunset chasing, Country Traveling, Jesus lovin' College student from Kerens, Tx. I am currently a Junior at The University of Texas At Tyler. I am in the BAAS Program where I will get my Bachelors degree, and then get certified to teach.
I have always used photography as a creative outlet. It allows me to capture moments in way other may not see them. I always enjoy hearing how much people enjoy my work. It started a few year ago, I just decided to go for it. I then started doing sports photography for my high school.
I live in Mabank, Tx. I am constanlty traveling to Navarro county to help capture memories for the people. It's hard juggling a full time job, while being a full time college student, along with keep my social life somewhat functional. Oh, and throw photography in there. I'm lucky if I sleep. I wouldn't change it for the world thought. I love the chaos, it's my life.
I recently got engaged in Colorado, my partner Aaron and I are expecting our first baby boy this Feburary. We can't wait for our lives to be filled with just a bit of extra love. We also have a 2 year old Golden doodle, Miss Ella Mae. She never meet a stranger. She is food driven, and loves a quick snuggle. She can usually be found following me around or looking out a window.
The Brand
A few years ago I decided I needed to revamp my photography. I was burnt out, and just wasn't enjoying it anymore. Photography was once everything to me, and i dreaded even picking up the camera.
Sondering Grace. The new new. LOL.
Aharrell.Photography was catchy, but I knew I was never going to get anywhere with a name like that. I needed something I could grow with. I loved the idea of adventures, Jesus, and all things outdoors. I found the word Sonder. I fell in love with it. It was just something about the way it sounded that drew me to it. The meaning behind the word is what really hooked me.
Sonder; The realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.
I also wanted to use my name in some sort of way, and I figure grace was a pretty solid fit. It felt right, like the "big girl" name I needed.
